hpim4812Callicoon, NY – Last year on Saturday, August 22, over $64,000 was raised in the first-ever Home of the Free Because of the Brave Radiothon held at the Sullivan County International Airport. One hundred volunteers participated by answering phones, tallying pledges, putting out food, organizing and entertaining. 

This year, the event is taking place over two days – Saturday and Sunday, August 28 and 29 – at a new location, the Villa Roma Resort and Country Club.

Today it was announced that we have accepted our first participant in the VBA Program. Derek Kautz a former special forces operator has started training with Eastern Energy Systems of Long Island, training in the installation and maintenance of green energy systems most notably wind turbines. the program is helping to pay some of Derek's living expenses while he undergoes his training. Eastern Energy systems is expected to hire Derek full time as soon as his training is complete.

Singer-Songwriters Ken and Barry Sommerville have been making music their whole lives entertaining audiences all across the country from festival stages, concert halls, radio and television shows, intimate in the round gatherings to numerous night club appearances.
